Summer Internship Reflection

Interns on our sailing day trip

Hudson:

“My summer at rsfLA flew by.  Michael and Kevin kept me busy and I was exposed to everything that goes into being a successful broker. Not a day went by that I didn’t learn something new.  The experience I gained is incredibly valuable and will be useful in my career in commercial real estate.”

Amanda:

“As a freshman with no real estate experience, I felt utterly confused and overwhelmed during my first week at rsfLA. I’d never seen a CRE marketing brochure, never mind hearing terminology such as usf and TI. I had a steep learning curve to overcome, and it seemed like a daunting task to tackle for the summer. Michael and Kevin’s patient mentoring, however; mitigated the transition. They opened my eyes to the industry by bringing me on tours, meetings, and coffee runs. I had the opportunity to visit US Bank Tower’s spec suites, listen in on calls, see an architectural presentation, and attend a private equity company briefing. In addition to regulating rsfLA’s social media platforms, I learned how draft proposal comparisons, conduct property surveys, generate lease analysis reports, and interact with prospects on tours. To be able to start my first college internship at rsf LA has been a great opportunity. I look forward to learning more about real estate and brokerage throughout the next few years of college thanks to rsfLA.”
